Once again, La Honda came together for a fun & spirited community event: the 4th of July Picnic sponsored by CLHG. Once again, the event was organized by Corinne Poulson with deep staff of seasoned volunteers. By her, for the newsletter…
“Another memorable 4th of July picnic in the books! Huge turnout this year. Bob White says maybe one of the biggest he’s seen. That explains why the beer and side dishes disappeared so quickly. Balloon stomp had us all on the edge of our seats. Great music. Loved seeing all the painted faces. And boy did we get lucky with the weather! All in all, a fantastic day in Playbowl.
This event cannot happen without volunteers. You know who you are and you are so appreciated! And a special shout out for the volunteers that do the behind the scenes tasks- Costco runs, loading and unloading trucks with supplies, inventory, etc. Thank you all!!
And lastly, a final BIG thanks to the following businesses that helped do their part to make the picnic go off without a hitch- Coastside Baking, Skywood Trading Post, Applejack’s Bar.
